Our Story
“The concept of Sole Purpose started with an experience at my kid’s elementary school many years ago. I was helping in the school office, and a young boy was called off the playground because there were holes in his shoes and his feet were getting wet and cold. He sat embarrassed and sad while I searched in the shoe closet to find a pair of shoes that would fit him but unfortunately, we didn’t have any. I told him to wait there, and I quickly drove to my house which was only 5 minutes away and came back with a pair of barely used shoes my son had recently outgrown. I took the boy’s wet socks off and replaced them with some new socks I had found at home and then slipped my son’s shoes on his feet. They fit perfectly! That little boy grinned from ear to ear and said, ‘Thank you so much! Now I can go play on the playground with the other kids and my feet won’t get wet.’ That experience made such an impact on me because I knew this simple act meant so much to this child and it truly warmed my heart to help.”

The Story Continues...
Sole Purpose has given over 300 children new shoes at three San Diego elementary schools during the 2025-2026 school year.

"For many of our students, a new pair of shoes is so much more than footwear, it brings confidence, comfort, dignity, and the feeling of being cared for. You have helped remove barriers for families while reminding them that there are people in our community who genuinely want to succeed."
