Our Mission
WE PROVIDE NEW SHOES TO KIDS IN NEED
11 Million children live in poverty in the United States
86,000 children in San Diego live in poverty
5-9 year olds outgrow their shoes twice a year
Our Story
“The concept of Sole Purpose started with an experience at my kid’s elementary school many years ago. I was helping in the school office, and a young boy was called off the playground because there were holes in his shoes and his feet were getting wet and cold. He sat embarrassed and sad while I searched in the shoe closet to find a pair of shoes that would fit him but unfortunately, we didn’t have any. I told him to wait there, and I quickly drove to my house which was only 5 minutes away and came back with a pair of barely used shoes my son had recently outgrown. I took the boy’s wet socks off and replaced them with some new socks I had found at home and then slipped my son’s shoes on his feet. They fit perfectly! That little boy grinned from ear to ear and said, ‘Thank you so much! Now I can go play on the playground with the other kids and my feet won’t get wet.’ That experience made such an impact on me because I knew this simple act meant so much to this child and it truly warmed my heart to help.”

Our Story
In 2017 in Hayden Lake, Idaho, Carrie Grace started Sole Purpose, Inc. a non-profit organization to provide new shoes to kids in need.

We are currently continuing that mission here in San Diego, California where there is an overwhelming need of shoes for children in local schools.
